Formula One World Championship to launch next month by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The 2010 Formula One World Championship is set to begin next month, meaning motorsport fans will have plenty of opportunities to combine an overseas break with a grand prix.

Sakhir in Bahrain is the first city on the race programme this year, with the opening event of the season set to take place on 14 March.

The championship will then visit Melbourne (28 March), Kuala Lumpur (4 April) and Shanghai (18 April) before heading to Europe for a grand prix in Catalunya, Spain on 9 May.

Other highlights of the Formula One calendar this year will include the ever-popular meeting in Monte Carlo on 16 May, the Singapore night race on 26 September and the first grand prix in South Korea, which will take place on 24 October subject to circuit approval.

This year"s championship could be a fascinating one, with British stars Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton being paired up in the McLaren team and Formula One legend Michael Schumacher returning to the sport to drive for Mercedes.
