Guernsey Changes Bus Passes
Guernsey changes bus passes by Cheap Flights Booker UK
People travelling to Guernsey in March will be able to purchase new bus cards inspired by a local delicacy.
"Ormer cards" are being rolled out across the island"s bus network and will be offered to commuters as of today (16 February), coming into effect at the end of the month.
The new passes can be obtained by exchanging existing cards, which will not be usable after 28 February.
In order to promote the new bus cards, Guernsey authorities are sponsoring free bus travel on all routes during the first week of their roll-out.
Peter Sirrett, the island"s environment minister, said: "Whilst this change is driven by the need to replace outdated machinery it has many benefits for the future in terms of the additional information which we will be able to gather on the use of our buses and help us to produce a better bus service for the future."
