Algarve events calendar unveiled by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The Algarve Promotions Bureau has announced some of the events that will be taking place in southern Portugal over the coming months as part of the Allgarve 2010 cultural season.

Returning for the fourth consecutive year, the initiative will feature an extended calendar running from March to December.

The programme will include live music, art exhibitions, culinary events, sport and more.

Among the highlights already announced is the Vodafone Rally of Portugal, which will take place from 28 to 30 May in the Algarve Stadium.

Sports fans will also be able to see World Touring Car Championship races at the Algarve Autodrome on 3 and 4 July, while the Portugal Golf Masters is scheduled for 14 to 18 October.

Music lovers will be treated to some live performances during the Allgarve 2010 season, including a gig by American jazz singer and Grammy Award winner Dianne Reeves in Portimao on 16 May.

Olhao will host its annual Seafood Festival from 10 to 15 August, providing the opportunity for visitors to sample some local cuisine.
