Britons "showing more interest in traditional breaks" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British holidaymakers appreciate breaks that have a traditional, relaxed feel, according to a recent survey.

YouGov conducted a poll on behalf of VisitGuernsey and found that three-quarters (75%) of respondents are likely to include long-established leisure pursuits such as cycling and countryside walking in a holiday or short break.

Some 81% of people want to be able to take their time and explore a destination at their own pace, according to the research, while a further 75% said they enjoyed trips with a "relaxed, traditional atmosphere".

Chris Elliott, Guernsey"s director of marketing and tourism, said: "The survey results show a significant demand for what we have termed "breaks with tradition".

"A traditional break offers a quality experience and a very personal one - it"s about holidaymakers connecting with their loved ones through shared enjoyment and fun activities in beautiful surroundings."

The Channel island boasts attractions including 27 beaches and 28 miles of clifftop walking routes.
