Finnair Urges Travellers To Use Self Service Check In
Finnair urges travellers to use self-service check-in by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Finnair has informed its passengers that they can avoid some of the congestion associated with the Easter holiday period by making use of self-service check-in options.
The airline pointed out that check-in desks and security search areas might be "very busy" at airports in Finland over Easter, but procedures can be "accelerated" if more travellers check themselves in.
Customers can use the airline"s online service the day before their flight.
Finnair Plus members can confirm their check-in procedure by text message if their flight is due to depart from Finland or European destinations including London, Manchester, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.
People travelling on one of the carrier"s domestic or international services from Helsinki can use automated check-in kiosks at Vantaa airport"s second terminal.
The service is available to passengers who have skis, cases or other pieces of luggage they plan to put in the hold, as well as those with carry-on luggage.
Markku Remes of Finnair said: "We recommend that passengers use Finnair"s internet or text message check-in services or the self-service check-in kiosks at the airport. This can speeds things up significantly."
