Oman Air offering internet, mobile connectivity by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Oman Air has announced that it is introducing inflight internet and mobile phone connectivity on its Airbus A330 aircraft.

The carrier described the move as a "pioneering milestone in the history of aviation" and claimed that it is the first airline to offer both mobile and internet services on its flights.

In a statement announcing the new technology, the company said: "Offering inflight connectivity is part of Oman Air"s ongoing drive to continuously enhance … [the] customer travel experience and offer them innovative services commensurate with the latest technological developments."

Mobile connectivity will be available at all times except take-off and landing, allowing passengers to make and receive calls and text messages.

The services will carry roaming charges similar to those applied when travellers use phones on a foreign network.

Access to the internet during Oman Air flights will be the same as going online from public Wi-Fi hotspots, allowing users to access websites and send and receive emails.
