Slovenia launches World Cup-linked tourism promotion by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The Slovenia Tourist Board has launched a promotion that will provide benefits to travellers based on how far the country progresses in the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.

Holidaymakers will be refunded part of the cost of their trip to Slovenia if the nation"s football team make it to the quarter final stage of the tournament.

Slovenia have been drawn in the same group as England, the USA and Algeria for the opening stage of the competition.

Dimitrij Piciga, director of the Slovenia Tourist Board, said: "This is a win-win for Slovenia tourism.

"If we win the cup, the exposure for our country will be unprecedented and the campaign means thousands of delighted British families can share in our celebrations. If we don"t win, then we still have the consolation of having made lots of new friends."

The 2010 World Cup will run from 11 June to 11 July and will feature matches in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and other cities.
