Continental Announces Changes To In Flight Menu
Continental announces changes to in-flight menu by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Continental Airlines has announced plans to change its food menus on some of its international flights.
The US carrier is to introduce healthier meal options on board select services later this year.
Passengers will be able to choose from a variety of sandwiches for lunch and pasta dishes for dinner.
Options include chicken parmesan Tuscan sandwich and spinach and cheese cannelloni with pomodoro sauce.
Meals will be offered complimentary on long-haul domestic and international flights but will have to be purchased on shorter services.
Jim Compton, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Continental, said: "We are improving our economy meal service with a high-quality, industry-leading food-for-purchase program that is consistent with the strong brand image and high service standards for which our customers recognise us.
"Our traditional free-food model has served us well for many years, but we need to change to reflect today"s market and customer preferences."
