France Enduringly Popular Among Brits
France "enduringly popular among Brits" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
France remains a highly popular destination among British holidaymakers and is continuing to attract visitors despite the financial crisis and the unfavourable pound-to-euro exchange rate, according to a travel expert.
Sean Tipton, a spokesman for Abta - The Travel Association, said that Paris is "by far the most popular French city" for Britons.
He also recommended the Brittany region for families, pointing out that it is affordable and easy to reach.
Listing some of the factors that make France so popular, Mr Tipton said: "It"s the food, beautiful countryside, it"s often very good value as well compared with the UK and the climate is better than most of the UK."
The Abta spokesman also highlighted the importance of the country"s accessibility for British travellers, saying that its close proximity "definitely affects choice".
It was recently reported that France, the world"s most visited country, received 74.2m tourists last year, down from 79.2m in 2008.
