London Luton expects busy summer by Cheap Flights Booker UK

London Luton airport has announced that it is "pleased to forecast a busy summer of flying" following the recent disruption caused by a cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland.

Destinations offering some guaranteed sun will be among the most popular from the base, with the Spanish hotspots of Mallorca and Alicante and the Greek islands of Corfu and Kefalonia expected to see strong visitor numbers.

In the city break sector, established destinations such as Barcelona, Paris and Prague are set to prove popular among people travelling from Luton.

Simon Harley, the airport"s airline development manager, said: "With nearly 100 destinations on offer, our passengers have a great deal of choice whether they are looking for sun or a city break, perfect for that much needed summer getaway."

In order to make the travel process as smooth as possible, passengers were advised to be aware of restrictions on liquids in hand baggage and to remember that only one piece of carry-on luggage is allowed through the security search area.
