Lonely Planet launches iPad app by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travel guide publisher Lonely Planet has revealed that it has made an app available for Apple"s latest product, the iPad.

The new tool shares the name of the publisher"s bestselling book 1,000 Ultimate Experiences.

Users are presented with a deck of 1,000 cards which they can browse through to see a selection of destinations, activities and ideas to inspire them for their future travels.

Owners of the iPad - a handheld device designed for internet browsing and media consumption - can purchase the 1,000 Ultimate Experiences app through iTunes.

Lonely Planet recently announced the launch of its first ever awards programme.
