Open-top bus tours launched in Cyprus resort by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Holidaymakers planning a trip to Larnaca in Cyprus this summer will be able to see all of the sights that the region has to offer on an open-top bus tour.

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) announced that double-decker buses will begin operating routes in the city of Larnaca and the surrounding area in May.

One bus will operate five tours per day, taking passengers to various points of interest, including the historic aqueduct of Kamares, the Hala Soultan mosque in Tekke and a medieval castle.

The second route will take visitors to a number of villages that have benefited from the development of agricultural tourism in recent years, as well as sites of interest such as the Neolithic settlement of Choirokitia and the church of Aggeloktisti in Kiti.

Announcing the new tours, the CTO said: "Tourist[s] shall get to know the traditional villages of the region - which have in the past few years greatly developed their agrotourism product - and also get acquainted with the rich history and culture of the Larnaca region."

Travellers can catch flights to Larnaca with a number of carriers, including Cyprus Airways, easyJet and Monarch Airlines.
