Qantas offering mobile check-in by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers planning to catch flights to Australia and connect to one of Qantas" domestic services this year will be able to make use of a mobile check-in facility.

The airline announced that it had made the technology available on domestic connections as part of its broader "next-generation check-in" project, which is designed to streamline the airport experience for passengers.

Due to be piloted in Perth and extended to Sydney this year, the initiative will also include advance seat selection.

Owners of internet-enabled devices such as iPhones and Blackberrys can use their mobile to check in between 24 hours and 45 minutes prior to departure.

Qantas" chief executive officer, Alan Joyce, said: "Our research showed us our customers wanted more control over their travel experience. They want to be able to check-in before they even arrive at the airport and then move quickly through the airport to board their flight.

"Mobile check-in now offers customers the ability to check-in remotely, while on the go, removing another airport process for our busy modern travellers."

The technology has been made available at major Australian hubs such as Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as smaller airports including Ayers Rock, Alice Springs and Port Lincoln.
