Virgin Atlantic to launch Manchester to Vegas flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Direct flights to Las Vegas on Virgin Atlantic will commence from Manchester on a twice-weekly basis in spring 2011.

Services to the world"s entertainment capital will take-off on Thursdays and Sundays using a Boeing 747-400 on April 3rd.

It will become Virgin Atlantic"s third route from Manchester and the carrier"s third taking off from the UK.

Steve Ridgway, the airline"s chief executive, said the company is "delighted" to announce the launch of flights to Las Vegas.

"The decision to expand our Manchester flying programme underlines Virgin Atlantic"s commitment to flying to long-haul destinations from regional airports in the UK and these Manchester flights will be a great addition to our current services," he commented.

His sentiments were echoed by Manchester Airport"s managing director Andrew Cornish, who said the route is a "welcome addition" following Virgin Atlantic"s existing flights to Barbados and Orlando.

The carrier confirmed last month that it had become the England World Cup squad"s official airline supplier ahead of the World Cup in South Africa in June.
