Cookie bar to be "world first" for New Zealand by Cheap Flights Booker UK

A cookie bar due to open in Queenstown, New Zealand this month will be the first establishment of its kind in the world, according to the company behind the development.

Food manufacturer Cookie Time announced that its new property will be a "showcase outlet" offering a "world-class retail experience" that could be extended across the world.

Due to open on 17 May, the bar will serve hot, freshly baked cookies, along with hot drinks and cold milk that can be enjoyed while admiring views of Queenstown and the surrounding mountains.

Cookie Time revealed that renowned special effects company Weta Workshop - which is famous for its contribution to the Lord of the Rings films - is "bringing a touch of Hollywood to the store with fun design elements".

Lincoln Booth, Cookie Time"s general manager, revealed that the outlet will be giving away thousands of free treats on its first day.

He added: "Queenstown attracts visitors from all around New Zealand and all around the world and we"re sure this new addition to the bar scene will be welcomed not only by visitors but by locals as a real drawcard."

Air New Zealand, Qantas, British Airways and other carriers offer flights to Queenstown.
