Flybe launches Kent to Edinburgh flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers based in south-east England will benefit from easier access to Scotland this year following the launch of new flights to Edinburgh from Manston in Kent.

Flybe introduced the route today (27 May) and will offer daily services between Kent and Scotland"s capital city.

The airline"s head of public relations, Niall Duffy, was on hand to welcome passengers onto the inaugural flight, which represented the first scheduled air service from the south-east airport.

Two of the first travellers to arrive and depart on the journey were presented with food hampers donated by Visit Kent and Scottish Food and Drink.

Mr Duffy said: "We"re delighted to add this new service and be the first carrier to offer Kent travellers a scheduled service from the county.

"It also reflects our commitment to continued growth from our Edinburgh base and also to our development into new regions."

The new route is expected to bring an additional 50,000 passengers through Kent International airport every year.
