France prepares for summer festivals by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Music fans planning a trip to France this summer will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy some live music, with a diverse range of festivals set to be held across the country over the coming months.

Tourism development agency Atout France highlighted events such as Jazz a Vienne, which will be held in a Roman amphitheatre in Vienne, just outside Lyon, from 25 June to 9 July.

Joe Cocker, Norah Jones and Paolo Conte will be among the artists entertaining the crowds at this festival.

Some big names from the world of popular music will be paying a visit to France this year, such as the Black Eyed Peas and Pink at the Main Square Festival in Arras (2-4 July) and Florence and the Machine at Solidays in Paris (25-27 June).

Opera fans will be able to see performances of Don Giovanni, Pygmalion and other shows at the Aix en Provence Festival, which will run from 4 June to 21 July.

There will also be a number of events celebrating theatre and film in France this year, such as the Avignon Festival (7-27 July) and the Outdoor Cinema Festival at Paris La Villette (17 July-22 August).
