Sky Ride Programme To Return This Year
Sky Ride programme to return this year by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Families taking holidays in the UK this year will once again have the opportunity to take part in the Sky Ride initiative.
Organised by Sky and British Cycling, the project consists of a number of free, mass-participation cycling events in cities across the UK.
Streets will be cleared of traffic in destinations set to take part in the events, meaning participants will be free to explore on two wheels without encountering any cars.
The programme will begin in Ealing, west London on 18 July, with other rides set to take place in Bath and Southampton (25 July), Manchester (1 August), Glasgow (22 August), central London (5 September) and other locations.
Sky Ride ambassador Sir Chris Hoy said: "Sky and British Cycling have a genuine opportunity to make a positive difference to people"s lives by encouraging as many people as possible to get on their bikes.
"I had a fantastic time at last year"s events in Glasgow and London and it was great to see so many families enjoying all the activities and having fun. I am thoroughly looking forward to attending Sky Ride events this year."
More than 110,000 people took part in the initiative last year.
