Tourism Western Australia Launches Plan To Attract More Visitors

Tourism Western Australia launches plan to attract more visitors by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Trips to Western Australia (WA) could become a more attractive option for international travellers in the coming years as a result of new investment and marketing efforts by the state"s tourist board.

Tourism WA announced that it would directly invest more than $31m (£17.9m) over the next four years in marketing the region both at home and abroad.

Aims of the organisation"s development strategy include opening more quality hotels in Perth and boosting aviation access to the Margaret River and Broome regions.

Visitors could also benefit from a more extensive range of eco-retreats in Kimberley and along the Ningaloo coast and a number of new events set to be arranged in Western Australia.

Tourism WA chairman Kate Lamont said: "To increase visitor numbers, Tourism WA will be refocused on its three core functions - marketing the state; developing, attracting and promoting major events; and developing significant tourism infrastructure and projects."

The organisation plans to contract local marketing agencies in the UK and other countries to launch new promotional initiatives, meaning consumers will be made more aware of the destination over the coming years.
