Travellers "running a risk by not getting vaccinations" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers have been reminded of the importance of vaccinations following research which found that many people are heading abroad without getting recommended jabs first.

One in five (19%) failed to seek medical advice and were unaware of potential health risks they could face, while 7% ignored advice to get an injection to protect against diseases.

Cost is one of the main factors in the reluctance to get jabs, with travellers heading to destinations such as Thailand, Mexico and India facing an average bill of £93 for recommended medical precautions.

The survey also found that just over a third (35%) of travellers carry a first-aid kit and a fifth (20%) regularly ignore advice to drink only bottled water.
