BA celebrating 75th anniversary of Newcastle airport by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British Airways has announced the launch of a special fare to mark the 75th anniversary of Newcastle airport.

The airline is offering return flights between London Heathrow and Newcastle for £1, which will mean that travellers pay £75 when taxes and additional fees are included.

Passengers will be able to take advantage of the special fare if they travel between 1 and 30 November.

Captain Stephen Wright, who normally flies passengers from Heathrow to long-haul destinations such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Los Angeles, was at the helm of a special service on 26 July to mark the airport"s 75th anniversary.

Other carriers including Emirates and KLM also took part in the celebrations at Newcastle.

Speaking ahead of the anniversary, airport chief executive Dave Laws said: "This year is very special for Newcastle International as we reflect on our incredible history and take a positive look forward to an exciting future."
