BA continues "punctuality drive" at Gatwick by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British Airways has announced that its recent "punctuality drive" at London Gatwick continued last month.

The airline cited official figures showing that it was the most punctual major carrier at the airport in June, with 87% of short-haul and domestic flights departing on time and 86% of international services operating on schedule.

BA reported the best punctuality figures in its history at Gatwick in March.

Alan Peever, the airline"s general manager at the London base, said: "Once again British Airways colleagues at Gatwick are delivering excellent service for our customers by helping us soar ahead of the competition when it comes to flights departing on time.

"We recognise that time is important and that regular punctuality is a key factor when customers choose which airline to fly with. I would like to thank everyone for a real team effort."

The most popular destinations on BA"s long-haul programme from London Gatwick this summer are Orlando and Tampa in Florida, along with Male in the Maldives and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

Travellers can also reach European city break hotspots such as Amsterdam and Rome with the airline.
