Flybe handles 10 millionth passenger at Southampton by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Flybe last week honoured its ten millionth passenger to travel through Southampton airport.

Bournemouth businesswoman Janet Cauchi received a special welcome when she arrived at the base on the morning of 23 July after a trip to Edinburgh.

She was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a 12-month pass providing access to Flybe"s lounge at Southampton.

Mike Rutter, the airline"s chief commercial officer, said: "We are delighted to celebrate Ms Cauchi being our ten millionth Flybe passenger to fly on one of the 720 flights a week we are offering this summer out of our Southampton base."

Dave Lees, managing director of the airport, added: "The fact that 10m passengers have breezed through Southampton airport on Flybe flights demonstrates just how popular their services are with both business and leisure passengers."

The carrier is operating 36 different routes from Southampton this summer, offering flights to Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin and other destinations.
