Franchise carriers to offer more flights to Cork by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Aer Lingus and Aer Arann will provide greater access to Ireland this year with the launch of additional flights to Cork from Manchester and Birmingham.

The carriers will begin operating extra services to the city in southern Ireland from 31 October as part of a franchise agreement.

From Manchester, travellers will be offered two daily flights to Cork on every day of the week, which is almost double the current frequency.

Leisure passengers are set to benefit from the additional choice, while business travellers will have the option of spending a full working day in the Irish city.

Aer Arann corporate affairs director Andrew Kelly said: "We are delighted to launch these flights as part of the franchise agreement in the same week that we launched new franchise services from Manchester to Shannon.

"The addition of these new services will offer passengers travelling to and from each of these destinations greater choice, flexibility and convenience."

Aer Arann will operate the flights under the Aer Lingus Regional brand.
