Icelandair increases Reykjavik flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Icelandair has confirmed that it will increase the frequency of its flights to Reykjavik from Glasgow and Manchester airports in the forthcoming autumn season and spring 2011.
An additional weekly service will be available from 14 September to 26 October 2010 and 12 April to 6 June next year.
The flights operate on a "triangle" route, going from Reykjavik to Manchester and on to Glasgow before returning to the Icelandic capital.
Schedules have been arranged to offer convenient connections to Icelandair"s network of services to North America and Canada, which includes flights to Seattle, Toronto, New York and Boston.
Hjorvar Saeberg Hognason, the airline"s general manager in the UK and Ireland, said: "We are pleased to expand our service from Manchester and Glasgow to Iceland and our North American destinations this autumn and next spring, two great times to visit Iceland, especially for those looking to save.
"This will provide our passengers with increased convenience and flexibility to travel to Iceland to take advantage of the favourable exchange rate."
Icelandair has been operating for more than 70 years, making it one of Iceland"s oldest companies.
