Qantas to launch "next-generation" check-in by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Qantas is set to launch its "next-generation" check-in experience in Perth next week.

The airline has worked closely with designer Marc Newson to develop its new service offering, which is intended to offer a quicker and easier travel experience for customers.

A range of new product elements are being launched, including a frequent flyer card featuring a chip that acts as a permanent boarding pass.

All customers travelling with luggage will be able to make use of a new bag-drop service, which has been designed to ensure that the procedure can be carried out as quickly as possible, thereby eliminating queues.

Alison Webster, Qantas" executive manager of customer experience, said: "Next-generation check-in has been designed to deliver an enhanced check-in experience for our customers - providing greater speed and ease through the airport terminal by eliminating airport queuing.

"With this in mind, careful consideration has been given to the functionality, aesthetics and ease of use for both our customers and airport employees."

The carrier operates flights to Sydney from London Heathrow, as well as domestic services to destinations such as Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane.
