Air Berlin to launch new route to Salzburg by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Air Berlin has announced that it will expand its network from the UK later this year with the launch of a new route from London Stansted to Salzburg.

The airline will offer four weekly flights to the Austrian city starting on 2 December, departing on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

An Airbus A319 will be used to operate the route, with capacity to carry 144 passengers.

The service will operate until 31 March 2011, meaning it will prove popular for winter sports enthusiasts travelling to Austria on a skiing holiday.

Air Berlin will offer an additional 20kg baggage allowance and free transport of ski equipment on the route.

Titus Johnson, the airline"s country manager for the UK and Ireland, said: "Salzburg is a valued addition to Air Berlin"s portfolio of routes from the United Kingdom.

"Whether visiting Salzburg"s old town, skiing in the Alps or visiting the birthplace of Mozart, Air Berlin"s passengers can expect a full quality service combined with attractive prices."

The carrier also offers flights to Dusseldorf, Nuremburg, Munster and Hanover from Stansted.
