Continental and Brussels Airlines to begin codeshare flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Continental and Brussels Airlines will begin a codeshare agreement on transatlantic flights this month.

Due to begin on 9 August, the deal will see the American carrier"s CO code added to selected services between Brussels and nine cities in Europe, including London, Newcastle, Paris and Hanover.

The codeshare will also extend to the Belgian operator"s links to Accra, Dakar, Nairobi and nine other destinations in Africa.

Brussels Airlines will place its SN code on Continental"s daily flights to New York from Brussels, as well as onward links to the US destinations of Cleveland, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Houston and Orlando.

Jim Compton, the American carrier"s executive vice-president, said: "This agreement will offer Continental customers quicker and easier access to a dozen cities in Africa, as well as additional cities in Europe.

"We know that our customers will appreciate the increased travel options this partnership provides, as well as the high standards of service offered by Brussels Airlines."

Both companies are part of Star Alliance, which also counts bmi, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines among its members.
