Finnair increases baggage allowance for economy passengers by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Finnair has announced an increase in the amount of baggage that passengers are allowed to take on scheduled flights.

From the beginning of September, economy customers will be able to check in a single item of luggage weighing up to 23kg, an increase from the previous limit of 20kg.

All bags must have a combined height, length and width measurement of no more than 158cm.

Anssi Komulainen, Finnair"s senior vice-president of customer service, said: "The aim of the new rules is to serve customers better and to clarify the procedure.

"Economy class passengers can now take a heavier bag on their flight than before as part of the price of the flight."

Business class passengers, oneworld tier members and holders of premium economy tickets can check in two pieces of luggage weighing up to 23kg each.

Finnair recently announced that it would be strengthening its position in Asia next year with the introduction of more flights to Hong Kong from its base in Helsinki.
