The Angra Jazz festival will take place on the island of Terceira in the Azores, a Portuguese archipelago located about 1,500km west of Lisbon, from 1 to 4 October.

Visitors will be able to see performances by a range of groups and artists, such as the Angrajazz Orchestra and Luis Cunha.

The Mingus Dynasty Septet from the US will also be performing along with the Stefano Bollani Trio and France"s National Jazz Orchestra.

All of the performances will be staged at the Centro Cultural e de Congressos in Angra do Heroismo, a historic town that has been designated a Unesco World Heritage site.
