Heathrow to celebrate British food by Cheap Flights Booker UK
There will be a number of special culinary experiences on offer to travellers this year when London Heathrow celebrates British Food Fortnight.
From 26 August to 12 September, more than 20 dining establishments at the airport will serve a range of meals, snacks and drinks providing a "quintessential taste of Britain".
Gordon Ramsay"s Plane Food in Terminal 5 will be among the venues taking part in the initiative, with a limited-edition three-course menu featuring pan-fried sea bream with wild garlic and spring onion mash, among other options.
Visitors can also head to the London-themed Dining Street restaurant to combine savoury dishes with popular desserts such as jam roly-poly, Kentish crumble and Eton Mess.
Heathrow spokesman Malcolm Robertson said: "We are very happy to be showcasing the best of British across Heathrow"s menus.
"Our culinary heritage is something that we can feel justifiably proud of and as the global gateway of the UK, Heathrow is well placed to promote British food and culture to our international passengers."
Shops at the airport will also be taking part in the event, with special offers on a range of British food and drink products at selected stores.
