Lonely Planet "reinvents guidebook for iPad" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Lonely Planet has announced that its Discover e-book series is now available for the iPad from Apple"s iBookstore.

Based on the company"s full-colour print series, the e-books are designed to help travellers find the "must-see" sights of different destinations.

The range of launch titles includes five popular European locations - Great Britain, Italy, Spain, France and Ireland.

Users of the new iPad guides can navigate between editorial pieces to specific sites of interest, which can then be displayed on maps.

The applications will also offer facilities to share suggestions with friends and click on hyperlinks to go straight to websites for specific attractions or restaurants.
