Monarch adds Palma to winter flying programme by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Monarch Airlines has announced that it will add flights to Palma to its programme for the 2010-11 winter season.

The change means that Monarch will offer year-round services to the capital of Mallorca, with three weekly connections scheduled from Gatwick and Manchester airports throughout the period.

More than 51,000 seats will be made available to British travellers looking for some winter sun.

As well as launching the new route to Palma, Monarch will increase the frequency of its flights to Alicante, Malaga, Menorca, Gran Canaria and Gibraltar from its UK bases.

Managing director Tim Jeans said: "Our customers have been requesting year-round flights to Mallorca for some time, so it is great news that we are now able to respond to this and offer a winter service.

"Flights to Palma from Gatwick only launched in July and demand for them has been staggering, with almost 15,000 passengers booked to travel already."

The airline also announced this month that it had added 22 scheduled services to its summer schedule to cater for strong demand.
