Sheraton continues Asian expansion with new resort in India by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Sheraton Hotels and Resorts has continued its expansion in Asia and launched its brand in Udaipur, India, which is known as the "city of lakes".

A complex previously managed by Rockwood has now been rebranded as a Sheraton resort and will be followed over the next three years by five new hotels in Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Chandigarh, Mysore and Amritsar.

Located on the banks of the Fateh Sagar lake, the Udaipur property comprises 240 rooms and facilities including four restaurants and bars, a spa and three gardens.

It is situated 3km west of the city centre and provides access to a number of cultural, natural and historic attractions.

Don Elliott, regional vice-president of Starwood Hotels and Resorts in India, said: "The debut of [the] Sheraton brand in Udaipur is indeed great news for international travellers and fans of India.
