Tourism Australia prepares for Ashes countdown by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Cricket fans planning a trip to Australia for the 2010-11 Ashes series have been advised to start making their arrangements soon, with the 100-day countdown to the event set to begin next week.

Tourism Australia revealed that tickets are selling quickly and urged supporters to make their reservations soon.

The series will begin in Brisbane on 25 November and will include a total of five matches, with the other four taking place in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Rodney Harrex, general manager of Tourism Australia in the UK and Europe, said: "The Ashes series is a great opportunity for English fans to visit Australia.

"The event is a huge draw for many and it"s worth planning ahead to ensure the most is made of any holiday Down Under. From adventurous activities, such as surfing, to sitting back and enjoying our food and wine, there"s plenty to do both in the host cities and beyond."

Tourism Australia has launched a new iPhone app that features a range of information on each host city, as well as bespoke videos featuring Australian cricket legends such as Michael Bevan, Justin Langer and Darren Lehmann.
