American Airlines offers mobile boarding at Manchester by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers catching flights from Manchester airport with American Airlines can now use the company"s mobile boarding programme.

Manchester is one of six international airports that have been added to the carrier"s mobile boarding scheme, along with Barcelona, Rome Fiumicino, Frankfurt, Milan Malpensa and Zurich.

American Airlines customers can also use their phone to display their boarding pass if they are travelling from New York JFK or San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Initially rolled out in 2008, the carrier"s mobile boarding option is now available on flights from 50 different locations around the world.

Andrew Watson, the airline"s vice president of customer technology, said: "This is an exciting time for American Airlines, as we work to enhance the customer experience by giving our customers the options they want and need."

He added: "With the addition of New York"s JFK airport and San Juan, plus six international airports, an even greater number of our customers will be able to select the option to display their boarding pass on their mobile phone - speeding the process at the airport and eliminating the need for a paper boarding pass."

The carrier operates regular flights to Chicago and New York from Manchester airport.
