Belfast City Airport Welcomes New UK Flights
Belfast City airport welcomes new UK flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Belfast City airport has welcomed the announcement of three new routes from Flybe, which is set to provide 100 additional weekly flights from the base in Northern Ireland.
The regional carrier will introduce the services on 31 October 2010, providing two daily connections to Bristol and East Midlands airports from Belfast City and four daily links to Liverpool.
Flybe will locate two additional planes in Northern Ireland and create hundreds of new jobs.
Chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said the regional carrier is "wholly committed" to providing connections throughout the UK and abroad for travellers based in Belfast and surrounding areas.
He also underlined the importance of the new services following the recent announcement by Ryanair that it would be ceasing operations at Belfast City.
Katy Best, business development director at the airport, said: "We knew there was significant demand for the routes vacated and we"re pleased to finalise an agreement with Flybe on three routes.
"Flybe is a long-term partner and recognises our significant and continuing investment at the airport to provide world-class facilities for passengers."
