Bmi to launch London to Tripoli flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Bmi will soon launch a new route linking London Heathrow to the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
Travellers will be able to catch daily flights between the destinations from 1 December 2010.
An Airbus A319 will be deployed on the service, providing business class amenities in a cabin with a 2:2 seat configuration, as well as an economy option offering a hot breakfast, a bar and free checked baggage up to a total weight of 20kg.
Tripoli is an important oil city, meaning the new route is expected to be welcomed by corporate passengers.
Leisure travellers can look out for landmarks such as the Roman arch of Marcus Aurelius or take day trips out of the city to visit beaches and ancient ruins.
Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, the airline"s chief executive officer, said: "Bmi"s new route to Tripoli expands our existing services to and from cities of influence across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
"Our business customers in particular will find the new, daily service gives them even more choice between the UK and Libya and offers convenient domestic and long-haul connections via our Heathrow hub."
