Camra reveals Britain"s best pubs by Cheap Flights Booker UK
People planning a break in the UK might be interested in paying a visit to some pubs that are among the best in Britain, according to the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).
The organisation used criteria such as atmosphere, value for money and the quality of the drinks on offer to compile a list of the top 16 pubs, which were categorised by region.
Recommended establishments include the Bell in Aldworth, Berkshire, which was described as "a real gem", along with the Guide Dog in Southampton and the Dove in Bury St Edmunds.
Camra highlighted the friendly atmosphere on offer at the Albert Tavern in the Scottish village of Freuchie, as well as the Ship and Castle in Aberystwyth, which hosts beer festivals in the spring and autumn.
People planning city breaks in the UK might be interested in visiting the Knott Bar in Manchester or the Harp in central London, both of which featured on the list.
All 16 establishments have been put forward to compete for the title of National Pub of the Year 2010.
