Chocoholics Encouraged To Visit Scotland
Chocoholics encouraged to visit Scotland by Cheap Flights Booker UK
People with a weakness for chocolate might be interested in paying a visit to Scotland this year to visit some sites and attractions associated with the tasty treat.
VisitScotland announced that it had launched a chocolate-themed online guide to celebrate Roald Dahl Day on 13 September and the country"s Year of Food and Drink.
Available from the national tourism organisation"s website, the guide highlights a range of activities and attractions available in Scotland, including chocolate factories and specialist cookery courses.
VisitScotland food and drink spokesperson Gaynyr Dickson said: "One of Roald Dahl"s most famous books is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and since 2010 is Scottish Year of Food and Drink, we thought this was the ideal way to celebrate the great author"s birthday.
"There are many chocolate experiences across Scotland to indulge your taste buds and no golden ticket is required!"
One location that features in the guide is the Scottish Chocolate Centre in Perthshire, which highlights the methods used to turn cocoa into the much sought-after confection.
