Guggenheim Bilbao to celebrate Golden Age of painting by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Art enthusiasts planning a trip to Bilbao in northern Spain later this year will have the opportunity to visit a major new exhibition.
The Guggenheim Bilbao will host a display representing the Golden Age of Dutch and Flemish painting from 8 October this year to 23 January 2011.
All of the works are being borrowed from the Stadel Museum in Frankfurt am Main, which houses one of the most significant collections of 17th century art in Europe.
The exhibition will highlight the importance of the Golden Age of Dutch and Flemish art, which helped promote new methods of expression while redefining traditional forms such as landscape, portrait and still-life painting.
Visitors will be able to see famous pieces such as Johannes Vermeer"s The Geographer, alongside other works by the likes of Rembrandt and Peter Paul Rubens.
