Japan Airlines expands codeshare with Cathay Pacific by Cheap Flights Booker UK
People travelling in Asia will soon be offered a wider range of flights in the region as a result of an extended codeshare agreement between Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific.
Subject to government approval, the partnership will encompass all services operated by both airlines between Japan and Hong Kong from 31 October.
The carriers, which are part of the oneworld alliance, will share codes on the new route between Hong Kong and Tokyo Haneda airport and also market each other"s flights linking the Chinese city to Narita and Sapporo.
Japan Airlines president Masaru Onishi said: "I am certain this development in our alliance will complement the convenience of flying to and from Haneda airport, and oneworld customers in this region of growth will have more travel solutions than ever before as they continue to enjoy the high standards of both of our services."
Cathay Pacific chief executive Tony Tyler added: "Japan Airlines is one of our long-term codeshare partners and we are pleased we are able to expand our cooperation with them in one of our major markets in Asia."
Other members of the oneworld alliance include British Airways, American Airlines and Qantas.
