Most popular flight locations revealed by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Online market analysis firm Experian Hitwise has revealed the 50 most popular flight destinations based on UK internet searches between May and July this year.

Spain was the most popular country during the period, with Tenerife, Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona and Mallorca all featuring among the ten most popular destinations.

New York took top place, with a 3.9% share of all flight searches carried out in the UK over the three months.

Florida, Dalaman, Orlando and Amsterdam also made it into the top ten, while Greece benefited from growing interest in travel to Zante, Rhodes, Crete and Corfu.

Commenting on the results, Experian Hitwise"s director of research Robin Goad said: "The US is clearly still a big attraction for UK holidaymakers with New York, Florida and Orlando all featuring in the top ten of our list of top travel destinations.

"The fact that only six destinations in the top 50 kept the same place as they had last quarter shows just how changeable search behaviour is online in the travel sector."

"Flights to Australia" was the single most popular search term between May and July 2010, accounting for nearly 1% of all online enquiries.
