Qatar Airways expands in India by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Qatar Airways has announced plans to expand its presence in India, with a 20% increase in the frequency of services to the cities of Delhi, Cochin and Amritsar.

Less than a year since the airline launched its route from Doha to Amristar, the frequency of flights to the destination will increase from four a week to daily from 1 September.

An extra four weekly services to Cochin will be made available over the coming months, while an additional daily connection will be added to the Doha-Delhi route from 31 October.

People travelling from the UK can connect to all of Qatar Airways" services by taking flights to Doha from London Heathrow.

Akbar Al Baker, the carrier"s chief executive officer, said: "Since last year and taking into account the new upcoming frequencies, we will have stepped up capacity to India from 56 to 88 services a week, which represents a remarkable 57% increase in frequency to and from India.

"India is a very important market for us, as we are able to offer a large selection of destinations and very convenient connection times to numerous global cities that Qatar Airways serves from Doha."
