Luton airport has informed skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts of the range of flights available to leading winter resorts for the forthcoming season.

The base revealed that it is working with its airline partners to provide routes to a "multitude" of skiing gateways, offering access to hundreds of destinations and thousands of kilometres of piste.

EasyJet is one of the leading carriers at the airport, with flights to Geneva in Switzerland, Grenoble in France and Turin in Italy.

Travellers can fly to these destinations and head on to famous Alpine resorts such as Val d"Isere and Chamonix.

Simon Harley, business development director at Luton, said: "There are a number of ski destinations available between November and March from London Luton airport, providing passengers with an extensive choice of winter sports holiday options at convenient flight times.

"Our commitment is to offer more choice to our passengers and with a varied selection of ski packages, we aim to cater to the snow sports enthusiast."
