Travellers "overlook Florida"s natural wonders" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers planning a trip to Florida have been encouraged to look beyond the famous amusement parks and discover some of the state"s "natural wonders".

Will Seccombe, chief marketing officer for Visit Florida, acknowledged that while Orlando remains the leading location for family holidays, the region boasts "remarkable" diversity.

The range of outdoor experiences and attractions on offer to visitors include state parks and natural springs.

"There are trails for hiking, biking and kayaking. Even in the winter season it"s fantastic," Mr Seccombe said.

"Some of the natural wonders of the state are probably some of those things that are the most overlooked when people are planning a Florida holiday."

In a recent survey of agents, managers and other industry authorities carried out by Travel Leaders, 80.5% of respondents said the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico had not had an impact on their bookings for the autumn period.

Mr Seccombe reassured travellers that the Florida tourism sector is "100% open and clear for business".
