Brits urged to consider Canada"s ski slopes this winter by Cheap Flights Booker UK
A tourism official has urged British holidaymakers to consider the Canadian slopes for their skiing holidays this winter.
Nim Singh, media public relations manager at the Canadian Tourism Commission, said contrary to popular belief, Canada is not that far away, with flights to the country"s east coast taking six hours.
Although French and Italian resorts are usually the first port of call for Brits looking for skiing holidays, Ms Singh highlighted popular Canadian alternatives such Tremblant, Stoneham, Le Massif, Banff and Jasper.
"We have a long snow season starting in early November through to early May," she commented.
"Some resorts enjoy what is called "champagne" powder - dry, soft snow that is a delight to ski or board."
Ms Singhe added that locals in Canada"s top skiing resorts are English-speaking and very friendly, making the destination convenient for British tourists.
The Canadian Tourism Commission is launching a tourism marketing campaign across six countries to attract travellers and promote Canada as the ultimate ski destination this winter.
