One lucky guest is being offered the chance to bid for an entire hotel to spend the night in at New Year.

San Diego"s glamorous yet reasonably priced Porto Vista Hotel is currently being auctioned on eBay for a 24-hour period over New Year.

The highest bidder will be given sole control of the hotel in Little Italy from noon on 31st December and can invite up to 300 guests to stay in the 189 room hotel.
