Holidaymakers Advised To Exercise Caution While Abroad
Holidaymakers advised to exercise caution while abroad by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Tourists have been advised to make sure they keep their belongings safe as they enjoy their holidays.
Scott Gorman, travel insurance manager at Sainsbury"s Finance, advised holidaymakers to exercise care and caution particularly when they are in popular or crowded tourist areas and consider investing in a money belt for added security.
"When holidaying, people take their most valuable possessions with them, such as their camera, passport, going-out jewellery, mobile phone, iPod and of course their spending money," Mr Gorman said.
"It"s easy to be engrossed in your surroundings when in a different country and when you"re feeling relaxed you can be easily distracted."
Mr Gorman added that before leaving their residence, tourists should take time to think about whether or not they really need an item before they decide to take it with them.
A recent survey from YouGov SixthSense found that holidaymakers are increasingly going to their current account providers to take out travel insurance.
