Jet Airways scoops Thai tourism industry award by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Indian airline Jet Airways has scooped an accolade at the Friends of Thailand Awards 2010.
The carrier was honoured in the international airlines category for boosting tourism in Thailand through its flights and its ongoing commitment to excellent customer service at the awards ceremony in Bangkok.
Gilbert George, senior general manager of sales at Jet Airways, accepted the award on behalf of the airline a reception organised by the Tourism authority of Thailand at the Centara Grand Hotel.
Nikos Kardassis, chief executive of Jet Airways, said Bangkok is one of the busiest destinations in Jet Airways" growing international network.
"The airline has consistently sought to promote Indo-Thai tourism through various marketing and sales initiatives and as one of the leading carriers on the Indo-Thai sector, we are delighted to receive this prestigious award," he said.
Jet Airways currently operates four daily direct flights to Bangkok from Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.
